Well girls, I am slowly getting back to normal, my head practically exploded with information from Sahras’ intensive Journey Thru Egypt workshops 1 and 2. I am so glad that she has made her research public from the past 6 years plus. I sure wish I had the energy and time when I worked and lived in Egypt to have accomplished it! Thats okay, she has now put the research to good use!
The information from these past two weekends brought back so many memories of dancing in the middle east. The workshops prompted me to get out all my old videos and footage of all the places I danced in the middle east and start my own projects for my classes. I just wish I had more time in the day to get all these projects done. Thank goodness I have awesome students and friends that help me with so much already.
I very much appreciate all their hard work in helping me with all these projects. Andrea, without you I can not have such a wonderful website. Thanks to Yvonne and Suze with their continued pushing of the workbook and getting it perfected. This is truly going to be an amazing 2nd edition workbook.
This dance is something that I truly hold dear to my heart. I love this dance with a passion. I am always striving to bring more to the table and show more in class everyday. Even though I have studied, and dance this art form for many years, it will take a lifetime to be able to grasp the concepts of over 7,000 years of dance throughout the middle east. At least I can bring to you my experiences of 26 years.
Thank you for your continued support, and thank you for being in class.
Until next time!
